I have two main places where I work on my designs, I have the living room of my apartment, and the fashion design room of Scoular Hall. My apartment has 3 sewing machines, a large stack of brown paper in the corner, and about 20 billion pattern pieces in the drawer under the couch. I spend so much time in my living room sewing i sleep on my couch some nights, so I can wake up and sew some more. I like working in Scoular hall, because i can hang out with friends while I sew, and sew what they are working on, also the lighting is much better. I stay pretty busy so having two places to work is pretty nice. Right now I'm working on a dress for Fashion Design. It's inspired by the art movement Futurism. I took my inspiration from a painting by Carlo Carra called
The Funeral of the Anarchist Galli. I really loved the movement and the colors of the painting, and found a printed fabric that really embodied the painting.
These are my pattern pieces that I have laid out cut out. the beginning stages of my dress.

This dress took a lot longer than I thought it would, but it turned out pretty great.
I would love some feedback if you're interested.
